"... I feel compelled to write and thank you for the truly wonderful riding holiday I had. As I am sure you can understand, taking a 'busman's' holiday whilst working for an equine charity ( manager of ILPH Norfolk centre / World Horse Welfare ) put extra pressure on me to find a good riding holiday where the welfare of the horses was of paramount importance. Your centre excelled on both counts !

You both have a love and passion for horses in general, and Andalucians in particular, which is infectious. To see so many extremely fit, sound, strong and well shod horses was a breath of fresh air. I know how hard it is to get horses looking and feeling like this so you must take a huge amount of credit for presenting your guests with horses of this calibre.

The riding frequently took my breath away. I would just think I had seen the best view in Spain and we would turn a corner and see another equally as stunning. The Andalucian Horse Show had me in tears in 30 seconds ! Beautiful. Your hospitality and attention to detail was exemplary and you made us all feel very welcome and special. It was a privilege to ride such happy, contented and responsive horses. You really do deliver all your web site says, and more. Your riding holiday exceeded all my wildest dreams and I will be one of your many returners. Please keep up the good work !"

and her most recent comment after returning to us for the 7th time :

"Even though I have just completed my 7th riding holiday with yourselves (which is testimony to your horses and hospitality in itself!), I just want to thank you both so much for making my various friends so very welcome.

Over the past 6 years I have brought along five different friends and recommended at least another four to visit you. Each and every one has been wowed by your horses, the riding and your hospitality. As you know, several have already returned without me! I always feel totally confident that any one I recommend to visit you will have an amazing time and this has always been the case.

I don't know how you manage to keep your horses so happy, responsive, sound and well in what is a tough line of work for horses at the best of times. Testimony to your great depth of knowledge, love and understanding of horses I feel...........

As always, I am fitter and riding better as a result of my holiday with you last week. It is so nice to be reminded how light and surefooted a horse can be......

Take care and keep up the good work !

Michele and friends."

Via Tripadvisor: INSPIRING TRIP "Giles and Miranda work tirelessly to ensure their visitors comfort and enjoyment. They treat guests as friends, and display huge generosity in all ways. The greeting from Giles as we arrived was warm and friendly, a bottle of wine in our apartment was waiting for us, and much appreciated!. The accommodation was super clean, comfortable and with [essential] efficient air.con. The riding experience was efficiently organised. GIles and Miranda have hit upon the perfect combination of ensuring each rider is safe, but by no means mollycoddled. The horses are sensitive individuals, definitely not 'bog standard' riding school nags!........"

continued: "....Although I have ridden regularly since a small child, the riding was still quite challenging, as we rode for 4 hours over varied terrain, starting at 6am under the stars, this is not for beginners! The scenery was stunning and to see the sunrise from horseback was very special. When we slithered off our mounts back at the ranch, the pretty pool area was a fabulous way to cool off and relax until lunch. This brings us to the food…absolutely gorgeous. Fresh and tasty, prepared for us by either Miranda or the bubbly, very friendly Kathy. We were treated to a night out at the Spanish riding show. [This has really inspired me to take dressage lessons as the eldest member of the Sanchez family [Grandad] at 80 yrs old, was a beautiful rider.] I am in awe of what this couple have achieved, and grateful to be allowed to be part of it. Definitely be back!"

via Facebook "This is the first time that I have been on a riding holiday and I could not have come to a more professional, welcoming and beautiful place! From the moment we arrived, we were so warmly welcomed by everyone. The horses were amazing and my friends an I were very carefully 'matched' with our steeds! The rides were incredible, early starts were important to avoid the intense heat but how special to be riding as the sun comes up! We were so well looked after and I would not hesitate to come back. Thank you so much Miranda and Giles and also a huge thank you to my wonderful friends Sarah Jones & Debbie Cunningham for organising this trip and what better way to begin celebrating my 60th birthday!! Thank you everyone! Kim xxxx"

in English: "I just finished a wonderful week with Miranda and Giles in Coin. Everything is done so that both guests and horses are comfortable. Nice rooms, relaxing pool area and delicious food. I have been on many horseriding holidays and I can only conclude that all the horses are of a high quality and are put in first place :-). A suitable horse is picked for you. The rides are varied and you feel very safe even though the horses are forward going. The fact that we are only six in the group is also a plus. Giles and Miranda saddle and prepare the horses for you, to make sure everything is done as it should. I rode Tio Pepe and I already miss him :-("

via Facebook "Thanks Giles and Miranda for the lovely rides & and time that we spent with you in June. We have just returned from our big trip which was absolutely fabulous. We both had a great time doing lots of different things along the way. Looking back now though, for me the time that I spent with you in the beginning of our holiday has turned out to be the most enjoyable and special part of our trip and will be the part that leaves me with the the best memories. It was lots of fun but very relaxing at the same time. We loved it. Thank you for your hospitality."

via Facebook "I have just got back from my second riding holiday with Miranda and Giles, and I have to say they surpassed themselves again. Once again I had the most beautiful, fit, sure footed horse called Lucy who was a real star. The rides were all different in the most wonderful country side from pine forest to mountain areas to riding along and in the rivers. They were all exciting with long canter and gallops to keep us all on our toes and entertained. Giles and Miranda are the most hospitable hosts, both on the rides and back at their stunning ranch. The accommodation is first rate and the food wonderful - all freshly made and served on the patio area above the pool. The other guests were a delight. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this holiday to horse lovers and riders - I've already booked for next year. Thanks to both Miranda and Giles for a magical week."

via Facebook "What another wonderful holiday here, our third. As a non-rider, I enjoy the holiday as much as my niece who rides. She tells me the horses are a delight, the rides excellent and just the right length, and the company superb, particularly Giles! And I can say that the accommodation is great as is Miranda's food, and all the groups we've encountered have mixed well. Every time we debate going somewhere else we end up saying "But why?"!"

in English: "If you are looking for a haven of peace, in the sun and in the heart of Andalusia, then spend a week in Coin with Giles and Miranda and their Andalusian horses. You will not be disappointed ! Giles guides you through long, unforgettable rides through landscapes worthy of the greatest painters, on his magnificent and surefooted horses whilst Miranda prepares you delicious dishes with local flavors, all sprinkled with sangria and local wines! Giles and Miranda really do everything to make your stay memorable and it will be! For the non-riding partners, there are many opportunities for relaxation, the swimming pool, a visit to the bars of Coin and for the most active ones - a hike in the hills. Also do not forget the impressive equestrian show of El Cartujano on Thursday afternoon. Thank you, Giles and Miranda, Tormenta and all the horses! We will be back !"

via Facebook "Had an amazing week here with a friend, truly a trip of a lifetime. Miranda and Giles are lovely and welcoming. The horses are extremely well looked after, sure footed and Miranda and Giles ensure you are paired with the right horse for you! The views were spectacular and Giles was an excellent guide. The accommodation was beautiful and clean and the food was amazing, you will never go hungry and they were happy to cater for different requirements. I will be back!"

via Facebook - in English: "Just a week back from a wonderful week's vacation in Spain - spent 5 days riding a fantastic horse and being pampered generally. At the beginning of the week, Giles and Miranda assess how much experience you have and what kind of horse you are looking for.Based on this information, they choose 1 of the 12 horses that should fit. With me this was a perfect match in one go. All horses are long in training before they go with the rides and are therefore very reliable and used to all types of traffic and (Spanish) circumstances. Also the food (breakfast, hot lunch and extensive dinner) was delicious every time and with all kinds of dietary requirements taken into account. Miranda and Giles are very hospitable and nothing is too much to ask. After the floods of this winter, the terrace (where you will enjoy your meals and where it is delightful to sit) was completely refurbished. It is also great to relax by the pool We slept in El Molino for accommodation. This apartment is located above the horse stable. It's a beautiful new apartment with 2 separate bedrooms, (very) large living room and kitchen. Finally (and not at all unimportant) the horses are very well looked after. They can walk outside every day and have great, spacious and generously bedded stables. So a definite recommendation overall! "

via Facebook "I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my recent stay at your beautiful ranch. The location is stunning, the horses are well looked after, well trained and very responsive. Accommodation and food was great. Miranda and Giles are very attentive and generous hosts. Have started saving already to visit again soon ! Thank you xx"
Dear Giles and Miranda, Thank you again for a really wonderful week. Our fifth holiday with you and more special memories to treasure until the next time. Thank you also to Sirocco, Bandolero and Tio who were a joy to ride - all your horses are so well-schooled and responsive and they are the reason that we come back year after year. The lovely food and fantastic company is a bonus! Tony, Sue and Rachel"

via Facebook "This is my second holiday at Miranda and Giles' beautiful ranch.. for a rider a more fun, more relaxing and enjoyable holiday is hard to imagine; great horses, great rides, amazing landscape, great food, lovely traditional accomodation, a short walk to a lovely town and it's tapas bars, plus the warmest welcome. Perfect!"

via Facebook - in English "It was one of my most beautiful vacations, relaxed, super friendly and amiable, Miranda and Giles are very valuable personalities, they are working with both the guests and the horses with consideration, the food is wonderful, the scenery breathtaking, we want to get back right away 🏇🌺"

"Yet again I am compelled to put pen to paper to thank you both for the most perfect riding holiday. I have lost count as to how many times I have personally ridden with yourselves or the number of friends I have brought along! This time it was with two friends from my new home in New Zealand (& a couple more wonderful friends from the UK!) so a lot of effort, time & money had been invested. Never once did I worry that my personal recommendation would fall short. Indeed my Kiwi friends, Judy & Claudia, voted their stay with yourselves as the overwhelming highlight of their trip to Spain & believe you me, we had a GREAT trip! Yet again your selfless hospitality, wonderful accommodation, great food & most of all, your extraordinarily wonderful horses made our stay with yourselves very very special. Both Judy & Claudia plan to come back (yes, from NZ!) & I am already booked in for next November with at least 3 new Kiwi's so your reputation is absolutely global now :) Please keep up the great work. You provide an extraordinary & magical holiday experience & every time I visit you I leave more inspired & riding better than when I arrived. Hasta el proximo año !"

via Facebook - in German: "Liebe Miranda, lieber Giles!

via Facebook - in English: "Dear Miranda, dear Giles! Just 2 weeks back at home and everyday life has taken control way too fast again ;-) But the memories remain very much alive and they magically bring a smile to my lips every time! I really thoroughly enjoyed the days I spent with you - it's such a peaceful place, a little oasis, which you have built there. Your warmth and the family atmosphere make it very easy to feel at home and to enjoy the holiday to the fullest. The rides were lots of fun and the surrounding countryside is really beautiful and impressive. Yet most impressive of all, were still your horses!! They are not only very sweet and accessible, well schooled and in the best condition, but I was tremendously surprised at how surefooted and brave they are - I felt in good hands on top of Gitana in every situation :-) Thank you very much - thanks a lot - and I hope we shall meet again!! Happy birthday, ursi from Vienna"

"I've just returned from a holiday with Giles and Miranda and it really was exceptionally good. The accommodation and food are brilliant, and the setting is delightful (with a very welcome swimming pool!). Their horses are extremely well cared for and lovely animals, very capable with good temperaments and a pleasure to ride. Long hacks show spectacular, panoramic views of the beautiful Andalucian countryside, and breathtaking scenery. However, what clinches it for me and makes HorseRiding Spain stand out is the warmth and good humour of Giles and Miranda. They are immensely thoughtful, kind and considerate and do their utmost, very successfully, to give everyone a wonderful holiday. I'm at a complete loss to find any negative aspects about HorseRiding Spain, only very positive ones. Sue, Surrey - October 2016"

Dear Giles and Miranda, I would just like to drop you a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed my stay in Coin and appreciated your warmth and hospitality. As I said, when I was leaving, I loved everything:, my beautiful room, the very delicious food, the wine, the sun, Coin (especially when I stopped getting lost in it) your kindness and attention to detail, in a word: everything! It was like a magical interlude! Of course, the stars (apart from yourselves) were the horses. I loved Nieves! It was a pleasure and privilege for me to ride such a lovely willing horse. Sadly, I only felt that I was beginning to to get to ride well on the last day! I knew next to nothing about Spanish horses before my holiday. I have gained a great admiration for them, I love their speed and power combined with their amiability and level headness. However, I do think that a lot of their good nature and great condition is due to their training and handling (by you). I really liked the fact that all the horses seemed to be happy and to enjoy their work (again this is due to you). I also loved seeing the beautiful countryside and a way of life very different to my own country. I think that seeing a country on horse back is the ideal way and I only wished our hacks were longer! (I am sure the poor horses were glad that they were not.) So thank you again, it was lovely to meet you both and I wish you and all the animals every health and happiness. Go raibh maith agat, slan agus beannacht leat. Michele

via Facebook - in German: Liebe Miranda, lieber Giles!

via Facebook - in English: Dear Miranda, dear Giles ! I would like to thank you once more for the beautiful days we spent with you. I have never encountered such well cared for horses in Spain, so well guided and led with a soft hand. Bravo ! The rides were varied and really at least 4 hours long - very relaxing, as long as my back stayed supple :-) I really enjoyed your warmth and hospitality. Thank you both and I wish you lots of energy to make many other guests happy also. Thank you so much and warm greetings from Zürich, Mirjam

Dear Giles and Miranda. Thank you so very much for the wonderful experience of riding with you last week. It was perfect, lovely well cared for horses, excellent rides over beautiful countryside and good company all week long. Nieves was beautiful, a pleasure to ride and a credit to you that she has remained so light in spite of the many riders she must have had over the years, I hope she has a wonderful retirement. Take care and enjoy your next break - you certainly deserve it. Love Elayne x

Via Facebook: I feel like it's time for a little commercial break ;-) Together with my friend Sabine I spent 5 days in Andalucia with the wonderful Miranda and Giles at their beautiful finca. Such sweet and reliable horses, enchanting views, amongst a herd of rescue dogs and cats and great human company :-) I don't really remember another holiday that was zo peaceful and relaxing. Which would't have been possible without Miranda and Giles, who went out of their way to take the best possible care of us. Same goes for the way they care for and take care of all of their animals. I HIGHLY recommend this place to other (intermediate/advanced) riders, who want to enjoy a wonderful holiday in Spain! That are a lot of superlatives to tell you I had a great time smile :-) Thank you and I'll definitely come back!

Dear Giles & Miranda. Just a quick note (time flies) to still thank you for the great time we spent with you in Coin. Lucille really enjoyed it all & I've luckily got the great photo('s) to actually prove it! She is set up to come back next year, as she already has put some of her birthday money aside to save! She really didn't want to leave and she really is missing you & the horses...and even though I loved Malaga and swimming in the sea, I missed the feel of your lovely spot, hospitality & Coin, so guess for now you are stuck with us for another visit next year.

Giles and Miranda, thank you so much for making my week with you one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life ! You both made me feel so welcomed as soon as I arrived and there was never a dull moment around you ! The accommodation was really clean and comfortable with very good air conditioning and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing and cooling down in the sun. You took great care to match everyone in my group with the right horse and I was thrilled to ride the gorgeous mare Savannah! She was incredibly fit and healthy and one of the most genuine and hard working horses I have ever ridden.

All of your horses have such wonderful personalities and they all really enjoyed their work which was lovely to see. The rides varied each day, with each one showing stunning scenery and having lots of opportunities for faster paces. The food was absolutely delicious and you catered very well for intolerances and dislikes ! The Andalusian horse show on Thursday was a breathtaking example of Spanish riding and it was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended, non-riders included ! You both really went the extra mile to make my holiday the best it could be and even when the unfortunate weather conditions meant that we could not go on our usual morning ride, you organised a private show of a Spanish stallion trainer which was incredibly inspirational. Overall, I want to say a huge thank you because I had the best week of my life and made memories that I will treasure forever. You will definitely be seeing me again next year !

On his 2nd riding holiday with us for the whole month of June: The return of a rider. - Whenever one has a spectacular dream one does not want to wake up. Well, sometimes reality may get beyond that. Days when you pinch yourself, once, twice even more. Trying to assure yourself that it's the realty that seems like a wonderful dream. I have that feeling. However, I cannot wait to wake up. Odd?! Only to get back once again and relive all and every single joyful and adventurous moment. Knowing that not only the experience will be the same but Giles and Miranda will raise the bar and make it as if it's a whole new one. Our beautiful horsey friends are as loving, healthy and happy as ever. The horses look into your eyes then flap their lips to tell you welcome back we remember you human. Thanks again Giles and Miranda. Till next time.

Hi Giles and Miranda - I had such a wonderful holiday with you and am missing everyone both those with two legs and those with four. I loved riding Nieves , a good choice for me as it meant the riding was relaxing, (my riding at home less so ! ) but apart from the lovely rides each day I appreciated everything else so much too, the fresh and tasty food, the Pilates and the massage, the gorgeous pool and surroundings , Sheba, making my news friends Jacob and Monique and having the great privilege of getting to know you too. I came home relaxed and happy.... so thank you ,thank you! Kate xx

As published on TripAdvisor/ Horseriding Spain: "I have just come back from a wonderful week riding with Giles and Miranda. The horses are beautiful, fit and so well looked after and conditioned. I rode Tormento a gorgeous mare who was so sure footed on unbelievable terrain. The actual rides were stunning, with every ride being different from the day before. Every new view was breathtaking. There are a lot of opportunities to trot, canter and gallop - so you certainly will not be bored!! Giles and Miranda are the most accommodating hosts you could ever wish for. They could not do enough for you. Their horses are so very well looked after and they match their guest superbly to their horse. The accommodation is situated in a tranquil valley nestled in the village of Coin - but you would think you were a million miles from civilization - so peaceful and restful. Miranda's cooking is wonderful using local ingredients much of it grown in the surrounding country side. The other guest were a joy. I'm ready to book for next year. If you are thinking of a riding holiday for an intermediate/advanced rider this is the one for you. Go for it !"

As published on TripAdvisor/ Horseriding Spain: "I spent a couple of days sightseeing in this wonderful, very Spanish, part of Spain and 3 days riding. The horses are amazing, very well trained and very well looked after by Giles and Miranda. The horses welfare comes first, as it should be. The circular rides are different each day and last from 4 - 5 hours in the most stunning countryside. It is my intention to return to this little bit of paradise. I was well looked after with good accommodation and great food by the lovely Giles and Miranda - nothing was too much trouble. "

Via Tripadvisor:"What is there not to love about the complete experience of staying here. The location is fantastic, great scenery, tranquil and away from the stresses of every day life. The horses are beautiful, responsive and a pleasure to ride. The accommodation, food and everything about this place just make you want to come back again and again. I have just returned from my second visit and met some great like minded people. Giles and Miranda ensure you are well looked after and make you feel like part of one big family. Looking forward to a return trip."

"Dear Giles and Miranda, You and the horses (especially Guitana) were absolutely amazing...the best time ever. I'll be back. 🙏🍀"

Sue Weatherall on her third riding holiday with us:
"Thank you Giles and Miranda for another wonderful week riding with you through Andalucia. As always your hospitality was second to none, the food (and wine!) delicious, and of course, your beautiful horses... "
And on Tripadvisor - Horseriding Spain: "If you are looking for a holiday riding fabulous Spanish horses through the Andalucian countryside, look no further! Hosts Giles and Miranda provide the warmest of welcomes to their beautiful valley, hidden below the town of Coin; the accommodation is lovely; the home cooked food delicious and, best of all, the horses are truly wonderful. Each ride, takes a different route through this stunning countryside and you will ride though forests, long rivers, up and down hills and always with amazing views. The horses are superbly well trained, sure-footed and trustworthy, yet still retain their individuality. These are not riding school plods! There are never more than 6 riding guests at one time so the whole atmosphere, riding and socialising, is friendly and personal and you don't ever feel lost in the crowd. I would also recommend Horseriding Spain if you are a single rider, you will be made very welcome. This was my third holiday with Giles and Miranda and it most certainly will not be my last!"

Jen Jenner on her second riding holiday with us:
"Miranda and Giles - fabulous week again. Thank you so much. Really loved it and had the greatest time with the beautiful Nieves and Lucera. Can't wait till I can come back again!!"

"Hi Giles and Miranda.I’ve been meaning to write since getting home last Saturday to say how much I enjoyed EVERYTHING about my stay with you. The location, horses, accommodation, swimming pool and of course the food - it far exceeded my expectations! Your rides have brought a whole new meaning to happy hacking. To me, there is no greater pleasure than having a long ride on a responsive horse enjoying the beautiful countryside – with great weather too! Sam and I definitely chose the perfect time of year with the gorgeous smell of the orange blossom. with best wishes Ginny"

via Tripadvisor - HorseRiding Spain: "We have just returned from a fabulous week's riding with Giles and Miranda. The horses are beautiful, especially Tormenta and Gitana who were surefooted and fit and looked after us whilst riding in stunning Andalusian scenery. Giles and Miranda are excellent hosts. Our apartment was clean and comfortable and the food prepared by Miranda was amazing...lovely tapas for lunch and really tasty home cooked meals at night. The ranch is lovely, well kept and just 10mins walk from the centre of Coin which is a lovely, traditional Spanish town with shops and restaurants. There is a regular bus service to Malaga, the old town is a lovely day trip for the rest day. We also visited Mijas which was pretty too. I would recommend this holiday, I haven't stopped talking about it since I got back! Thank you Giles and Miranda for a fabulous holiday. "

"Dear Miranda and Giles, I wanted to let you know how wonderful my week was with you and all the horses, cats and dogs. My idea of heaven. You both made me feel very welcome and the food was delicious with varied vegetarian options for me. I absolutely loved your apartments and I miss the stallion outside my window. Coin is just my sort of place without all the tourism stuff. I also enjoyed my day in Malaga and the churches and museums , so much to see. I do hope I can improve my riding but I appreciate all you did for me and your utmost patience. Thank you and I do hope to visit you both again. Love Nikki "

"Liebe Miranda, lieber Giles

read more (EN + DE)

Herzlichen Dank! Andrea aus Bern (Schweiz)"

"Dear Miranda dear Giles, Thank you for the beautiful days we spent during New Years 2015/2016. They were two wonderful riding weeks with you. Everything worked perfectly:
healthy, well trained and willing horses, who moved with great surefootedness through all kinds of situations. Nieves (only small but woho !) always gave me a good feeling, if we were crossing a river or climbing or descending a steep hill side or even on the roads, she always gave her best; • good rythm, looking around but also concentrated in walk, then going in a nice loose trot over shorter and longer distances and then again a nice forward going canter, sometimes even with a speed-up at the end – then Nieves was really big !;
varied countryside with great views best taken in from horse back, romantic river country with huge Eucalyptus trees and lots of green olive orchards, wonderfully fragranced orange groves and even the odd early pink blossomed almond tree, pine forest, valleys and mountains;
• the fantastic apartment “El Molino” with its beautiful windows, so tastefully renovated and decorated, well heated and with lots of warm water;
• the good food , with tasty and healthy Tapas and varied evening meals with local ingredients and all freshly prepared by Miranda;
Surprises like a visit to the stallions of Centro Ecuestre El Rocio or the invitation to a New Year’s day restaurant meal;
• and of course you two with great dedication and lots of patience, you have prepared your horses excellently for their task and with lots of engagement you look after your guests. You have done your utmost to make this holiday one of my best holidays. You have succeeded.
This time will always remain a fondest memory. Thank you very much ! Andrea from Bern (Switzerland)"

"Dear Miranda and Giles,We have had a wonderful few days, just wish we could have stayed longer ! Spectacular rides and Lucy and Nieves were excellent horses to enjoy them on. Very kind of you to drop James so that he was able to enjoy such good walking.

You have created something very special here and I do hope to be able to return and enjoy it all over again !

"Miranda and Giles put a lot of effort into giving us a very wonderful week. The horses are in very good shape and well adapted to the rugged environment of Andalusia. We rode through many orchards with fig trees, orange trees, vines, almond trees ... There are also many wild animals to be seen close to the rivers, such as herons, Ibis, storks, turtles ... The scents and landscapes of Andalusia are simply dazzling !"

"HorseRidingSpain is the ideal holiday for people who are crazy about horses and love nature. The rides were superb because of the Andalucian horses and their way of moving but also because of the variety of the countryside. After the rides you had time to spend as you please, get to know the town or just relax by the pool waiting until it is time for another tasty Spanish meal. In short recommendable not only for riders but also for people who are looking for a great holiday in the sun."
Says who?

Horses have, over the years, been gracious and angelic creatures. Mankind hasn’t failed to at some level acknowledge this. Whether in written, spoken or visualised means. Yet again what about the human who has played a big role in bringing out the best in horses? To build a magnificent relationship, ever built, between a human and a beast? Uttering words in silence so the horse can comprehend them. Casting a sight - gently and assertively - so a horse can be assured and confident.

Gathering many a great souls, of variable backgrounds, different in every single possible aspect of life. Nonetheless, transforming all that to have that promising dream land where people do live in harmony no matter what. Well, in the heart of Coin one can definitely find that and more, or at least one already has. Horsemanship on its high level. An experience with the horse as well as with the human. Quite a great experience that will bring you to a halt, thinking, ‘we can’t choose our family’, says who? For horses we come together and by horses we build a great friendship.

"Dear Giles and Miranda, I spent another great week with you ! This time together with my mom as non-rider. She was a bit nervous after not having flown for 30 years but she really enjoyed herself ! We both did not want to go home....It seemed like I returned even more enthused than a year and a half ago ! I have enjoyed once again riding Tío Pepe and also a day on Lucy and Nieves.

3 Greys and all three of them with a fun and different personallity - a joy to ride ! (I would have preferred taking all three of them home with me !) The wonderful food each day, the fantastic horses and beautiful sunshine, but above all we miss your hospitality every day !

It was fun to improvise a bit of vaulting on the well mannnered Gitana - a bit more practise and she will be doing a Kür at canter no problem ! A massive thank you for another great week and hopefully we see eachother again soon ! Lots of love from the Netherlands, Alieke and Anja

Miranda and Giles, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the amazing week youDaisy on Bandolero gave us. Before coming I had so many misgivings about how Daisy would manage, particularly in a group where all the other riders were adults, and also how I'd find the week as a non-rider.

Daisy I must tell you was in tears as we got on the plane, something she's never done after a holiday before, and she's been full of it since she got back.

I really appreciated your kindness to her, when she must have been under your feet at times. It seems to me she grew a lot in the week, both in terms of her riding but also her confidence with adults, which was a joy to see. And I had a wonderful time, incredibly restful, with plenty of time to read and explore, and have come back more rested than I could have possibly expected. With thanks again - and we'll hopefully see you this time next year."

"At home in Holland I own a great Arabian pedigree gelding, but in 2013 during my first holiday in Coín I met Chupito and it was love at first sight. Giles and Miranda had him in mind for me for that holiday and they had chosen really well....When they came towards me with him I could not believe my eyes: what a beautiful and classical Andalusian horse and he rode lovel; responding well to the aids, easy to collect and also with the right power. I immediately had a click with him (and felt a bit guilty 'cheating' with a Spaniard, but luckily my Arab is easygoing ;-)) and I had a fantastic holiday that summer. This year I returned to Giles and Miranda in May and was lucky enough to ride Chupito again during the 2nd half of my holiday. He is very different from my Arab, but I so enjoy him. Somehow his macho character in the herd also reminds me a little of my own horse, but riding wise he is very different: wonderfully cool in his head and a real gentleman.

An English lady asked me this year what I found so special about him and I answered: "I cannot describe it, it's just love". I don't know if she understood, but that's not necessary. Now I am back at home and enjoying my own bay gelding, but I will return to Coín for sure for another great holiday and of course to be with my Spanish holiday love Chupito. Muchas gracias querido Chupi ! Nicole

I cannot describe, it's just love".

Muchos gracias querido Chupi!"

ONLY 52 WEEKS AND COUNTING TILL I RETURN
I would like to say a huge thanks to Giles and Miranda for being super hosts and having super horses. I was really impressed with their horses. I had come to ride and loved the care they give all their animals. All the horses are well behaved and always turned out smartly. I love the running plaited manes and leather fly fringes.

The rides allow you to take in the beautiful scenery and learn about the vast array of fruit and nut trees. My favourite rides include a splash in the cool waters of the Rio Grande. After a lovely ride its great to relax with wine and tapas followed by a dip in the pool. The accommodation was as described. There's pleanty of space and it's clean and tidy. The whole place is so private considering it's so close to a town. We were lucky enough to enjoy an end of season orange festival. I'm told the Spanish love their festivals so there's often something worth seeing. For me the holiday was a good balance between riding and relaxing. It was excellent value for money. Thanks again. Sara Murray

Thank you Giles and Miranda for a truly fabulous week, for letting me ride the gorgeous Tormenta and for making me feel so welcome.

The 8 year gap between visits felt like nothing the minute I got out of the taxi!

I enjoyed every minute of the week and I will be back !
You have been warned !

Take care xxx

Just wanted to say thanks again for such a fantastic week.

Sacab exceeded all my expectations, as did pretty much everything else including the lovely Tio Pepe.

A special thanks for letting me ride that boy. You know how much Rosie Jill & I loved the set up before, but the changes you’ve made have added to what was already a very special experience.

Don’t change anything now!

The last week of March in 2015 in Coin weather ranged from rain to sunshine, and from +12 to +25 degrees of temperature.

Rivers were full of water and the Andalusian mountains green and blossoming with flowers. Orange trees were about to start blooming, and their scent already filled the air. We rode the hills slopes, rivers, national park, eukalyptys forest, rural trails and urban small roads.

English: The first day of riding was exciting. Miranda rode each horse in the ring and allowed the new rider to mount the horse after her. In the beginning of the week, I was accompanied by two nice Dutch ladies. I described my background as a reasonably experienced recreational rider and expressed my wish to ride a friendly horses, which would have a good energy. I got the 8-year-old, strong and enduring andalusian gelding Tio Pepe. Tio Pepe is completely different from the horses, which I am accustomed to ride, even if I had already been riding a Spanish horse for some time. We all got plenty of instructions from Miranda for how to best interact with our horses especially through our seats. We started off for our first ride through the center of Coin which was bustling with cars and church goers. The horses did not mind the cars, mopeds, umbrellas, street signs flapping in the wind, barking dogs or other Spanish Sunday life. The first ride however was exciting. Tio Pepe seemed energetic and boyish and I was not quite sure what it would do and how I would cope. Everything went well. During the week we learned to trust each other and developed into a good couple I think. I learned and enjoyed immensely. Tio was always ready for a speedy trot or a strong canter and I liked his vibrant way to constantly monitor his environment and sometimes a bit even to react. We rode every day for four to five hours in a breathtaking springtime scenery under Andalusia's spacious skies. Giles and Miranda took care of the horses, so we guests had plenty of time to get to know each other. The end of the week I rode with four nice British ladies. We had a meal together three times a day. Along with enjoying good food and drinks it was a lot of fun to talk about horses, horse riding, horse training and different ways to practice in our own countries. Horse riding, fantastic Spanish horses and lovely people were the week's best part. On the day off from riding, I visited Malaga and the Picasso museum. It was nice to see the city. For making purchases Coin is, however, quite sufficient, there are places to eat, and it seems lot more Spanish than Malaga. There is also a horse and riding equipment store that sells good priced Spanish leather riding boots, and some of the guests bought to take home an Andalusian, fly fringed brow bands. Thursday we went to a Carthusian horses show produced by the Sanchez family. We saw classic riding (doma alta escuela) and Spanish cowboy style doma vaquera riding and handling of horses. We also got to visit the spacious stables and admire the shiny stallions after the show. On Friday, Miranda provided us the opportunity to a pilates class. The class was by a local professional Reme and it was very good for a rider and besides, a lot of fun. This was my first holiday taken alone, without a friend or family. I hesitated going all by myself, and had slightly bad consciencence leaving my husband home with the kids. But Miranda's warmth, friendliness and care combined Giles's humour and storytelling, as well as their both deep expertise in horses and equine welfare makes the ranch a horse lover's paradise. In the end, I did not have a lonely moment, but I got to know wonderful like-minded people, and I spent the most fun week. Part of my heart stays with Andalusia and I already miss Tio Pepe. I feel that I arrived to the ranch as a customer and departed as a friend. As souvenirs I have new kind of horse and riding knowledge, new international friends, for more than 20 hours of hacking experience on a lively horse, a lot of horse plans and sunny mood. I'll definitely be back.

Palaan varmasti takaisin. Maria Laamanen, Helsinki, Finland

Dear Giles & Miranda. Thank you for a beautiful week ! The rides, Gitana, the food and great atmosphere. I take my hat off to you. And above all, my fantastic 50th birthday. This couldn't have been any more beautiful. I will always think of you and this holiday with the sun in my heart. And if possible I will come back for sure. I wish you both all the best ! Massive thanks for a wonderful holiday, I shall be recommending you to everyone I know! Stunning horses, beautiful landscapes and terrain and most importantly the best possible hosts! I can't thank you enough for all your efforts, special gratitude to Miranda; for your time with Emma, your patience, being such lovely company and to top it off a great cook too! The effort you put in to ensure each and every guest has the experience of a lifetime shines through, thank you! Big hugs to all the animals, but to Sirocco, Tormenta and Cheeky in particular x

English: From a dark and cold winter up north with snow crystals in the horse`s fur – to trees with ripe oranges and lemons and green meadows warming us. Elegant and experienced Spanish horses carrying us through the varied Andalucian landscape. What a contrast! Miranda and Giles welcomed us with warm hugs and installed us in comfortable appartments in the middle of a beautiful garden with a pool at their equestrian center on the outskirts of Coìn. No worries how to get there from the airport in Malaga. They arranged it. “ At home” at the equestrian centre the table was set, just to enjoy! We were well looked after during the horseriding. Miranda`s and Giles`experienced eye analyzed our skills and made the trips according to the group`s ability and we could tell they were proffesionals in handling horses. In addition they were great at communicating with people. They gave us more than promised, and their kindness hit us, and lasted long after our stay was over. A visit to the esteemed “ El Cartujano” was also a part of this special weeks program. We got to know this proud family who specialise in Highschool dressage. The family Sanches is well known in Spain, having run their amazing centre for generations. We were also honored with dressage lessons there. Fantastic! HorseRidingSpain with Miranda and Giles is a complete experience which I recommend for all intermiate to advanced riders. Horses are at the centre of it all and the wonderful hosts make the stay a very special one! I want to go back! Next time I will bring my friends. Different packages are offered. Just ask for the options. Any questions about the stay? I had! My emails were answered very quickly!
